The previous reception building was demolished to make way for a larger building providing accommodation for the new college reception and 6 new classroom/studio/meeting spaces for use by the Arts Department.

The new building is the only building visible from the adjacent street and also the first building visitors see when entering the car park at the front of the site. The architecture in both design and choice of materials were carefully considered to separate this building from its adjacent 1960’s concrete panel, flat roof neighbours to present a more modern first impression for visitors and students.

This building was the first to be completed as identified in a long term master plan that we carried out for the college towards their Building Condition Improvement applications.
