River side project nearing commencement

An exciting new residential project about to commence on site with the River Darent flowing past the end of the garden.

A new first floor and double height glazed atrium has been added to existing bungalow to provide additional

bedrooms and amazing views across the river and countryside.

Himalayan Balsam Removal

06 JULY 2023

Today was spent volunteering to remove the invasive Himalayan Balsam from the beautiful River Darent with North West Kent Countryside.

Himalayan Balsam is, as its name suggests, from the Himalays and was introduced to the UK in 1839. It is now an extremely invasive weed of our riverbanks and ditches where it prevents native species from growing. So it was a morning well spent in my waders helping reduce the impact of this plant on our lovely local river.
